The 10-Point Agenda

What every Nigerian deserves
What we demand
from every leader

SDG-aligned. Citizen-centred. Non-negotiable. These are the standards by which INP evaluates every candidate, policy, and institution in Nigeria.

01
End Poverty in Nigeria by expanding access to jobs, skills, and social protection.
End poverty in Nigeria by expanding access to jobs, skills, and social protection.

No one should be left behind. INP demands robust social safety nets, skills acquisition programmes, and job creation policies that reach the most vulnerable communities first — not the most politically connected.

INP Demands
  • A functional, transparent national social register
  • Minimum wage enforcement across all states
  • Funded national skills development programmes
  • Publicly accountable social protection targeting
02
Invest in Sustainable Agriculture
Invest in agriculture and food systems so every Nigerian has access to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food.

Nigeria feeds the world in potential. Millions of its citizens go to bed hungry. INP demands investment in the farming communities that sustain this nation — and protection of the farmers who run them.

INP Demands
  • Agricultural credit access for smallholder farmers
  • Functioning food storage and distribution infrastructure
  • Farmer security and conflict resolution frameworks
  • Investment in irrigation and modern farming technology
03
Good Health and Well-being
Strengthen healthcare systems so every citizen can access affordable, quality care — from cities to rural communities.

From President to rural farmer. Nigeria's leaders shouldn't fly abroad for treatment while citizens die of preventable conditions at home. INP demands a healthcare system that works for everyone, not just the privileged few.

INP Demands
  • Primary health centre in every local government area
  • Fully funded National Health Insurance Scheme
  • Competitive salaries to stop medical brain drain
  • An end to medical tourism by public officials
04
Quality Education
Educate every child, empower every future. Nigeria's progress depends on inclusive, quality learning for all.

Every child deserves a functional classroom with a trained teacher and basic materials. Not a crumbling building, a part-time instructor, and a leaking roof. Nigeria's future is being built right now in its schools.

INP Demands
  • 26% education budget allocation consistently met
  • Free and compulsory basic education enforced
  • Elimination of out-of-school children
  • Quality teacher training and fair remuneration
05
Gender Equality
Empower women and girls. Equal rights and opportunities are essential for national growth and justice.

Nigeria can't afford to sideline half its population. Gender equality isn't a women's issue — it's a national economic and democratic imperative. INP's target populations specifically include women as a priority group.

INP Demands
  • 35% affirmative action in political appointments
  • Full implementation of the Violence Against Persons Act
  • Gender-responsive budgeting at all government levels
  • Equal access to land, credit, and economic resources
06
Clean Water and Sanitation
Access to clean water is a right. Protect water sources and invest in sanitation nationwide.

This shouldn't be a controversial demand in a country with Nigeria's water resources. And yet, millions of Nigerians lack access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation. It's a governance failure, not a resource one.

INP Demands
  • Universal access to clean water by 2027 in target states
  • Protection of water catchment areas from pollution
  • Sanitation facilities in all public schools and health centres
  • Transparent WASH budget allocation and reporting
07
Decent Work and Economic Growth
Create sustainable jobs and support entrepreneurship to unlock Nigeria's economic potential.

Nigeria has the largest economy on the continent and one of the youngest populations in the world. The combination should produce extraordinary economic growth. The gap between potential and reality is a policy choice.

INP Demands
  • Funded youth employment and apprenticeship schemes
  • Simplified business registration for SMEs
  • Enforcement of labour rights and fair wages
  • Access to affordable credit for entrepreneurs
08
Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
Build resilient infrastructure and support innovation to drive Nigeria's industrial transformation.

Power cuts, bad roads, and poor internet connectivity aren't just inconveniences — they're taxes on productivity. Nigeria's industrial transformation starts with infrastructure that works.

INP Demands
  • Reliable national power supply as a governance priority
  • Maintained road networks connecting markets and communities
  • Investment in technology and digital infrastructure
  • Support for local manufacturing and industrial capacity
09
Climate Action
Act now on climate. Protect communities from floods, drought, and environmental degradation.

Flooding in Benue. Desertification in the North. Oil spills in the Delta. Nigeria's climate crisis isn't abstract — it's happening right now, to real communities. Act now, not after the damage is irreversible.

INP Demands
  • Community flood mitigation infrastructure in vulnerable states
  • Enforcement of environmental impact regulations
  • Clean-up and remediation of oil-affected communities
  • Climate adaptation funding for smallholder farmers
10
Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions
Promote transparency, accountability, and rule of law to build trust and stability across Nigeria.

Without functioning institutions, the other nine points don't hold. INP's fourth objective — building citizen-led accountability frameworks — is directly anchored to this. Elections matter. What happens after elections matters more.

INP Demands
  • Independent, adequately funded anti-corruption agencies
  • Open government data and budget transparency
  • Judicial independence and timely case resolution
  • Zero tolerance for electoral violence and manipulation
